Doctor Who Confidential

This message will make little sense or interest to you if you are not slavishly following Doctor Who, as I am.  Those of you who are, you probably want to skip this posting until after you have seen Partners in Crime.

!!??!? ROSE ?!??!?

That is all.  Thank you.

I try to avoid spoilers anyway so I had no clue. Fortunately for me [livejournal.com profile] keyne missed this spoiler too, so we were both shouting at the screen in complete and utter whatthefuckiness. (Thank goodness we didn't wake the boys.)

Dude.

I waited to read this until after I'd seen that episode. I agree completely: what the fuck? Is she actually dead and ghosting? Is she doing some weird transdimensional thing?

Ditto; just watched it tonight. And I too had not heard Rose would be appearing. Gobsmacked indeed.

(Really, I try to avoid all such news in advance; it's usually more fun not to know. Although I did know about Catherine Tate and, since I'm not fond of her character Donna, I'm glad I could "brace myself" in advance. She was less annoying than in "The Runaway Bride", but still annoying. On the up side, maybe we'll finally get a companion as simple traveling partner, with no romantic overtones or undertones. The "in love with the Doctor" thing is one of several ruts that Russell T. Davies is in. IMNSHO.)

I really hope they don't go there with Donna but I'm afraid my confidence is not high. I agree that's it's an unfortunate pattern for them to have fallen into.

I didn't mind it so much with Rose because it was actually sort of fresh there, but I'm ready for it to be over. The Doctor telling Donna explicitly "I just want a mate" does not bode well.

All I can say is, they better have a good explanation.
