vegetarian snark!
Pimping this out to the rest of my friends list, because I know that at least some of you will want to know about this:
My brilliant and talented friend
lady_mishegas has created
vegetariansnark, for snarking particularly misguided attempts by carnivores to understand what vegetarians eat, like the misconception that all vegetarians dishes must include tofu, portobello mushrooms or gluten cubes in order to be considered an entree.
Go! Eat, drink and be snarky.

I thought it was going to be snarking about clueless vegetarians who cheat but are in denial about it.
Vegetariansnark meets Carnivoresnark
This is certainly true if I'm going to be eating them. (Eggplant is gross and something with only lentils and/or beans is a side dish at best. What else does that leave, Quorn?)

(Possible responses: "Feeding you to what?"; "If I feed you, you'll only come back.", et seq
Besides, everyone knows fish is a vegetable.

I hate going some place like the campus coffee shops where my lunch choice is 9 cups of rice with a bunch of fried tofu and two tiny broccoli florets. I feel like I'd be better off at a traditional diner with a meat and two (veggie) sides.
Speaking of gluten, do you know of any seitan-type recipe that isn't shockingly high in sodium? We're trying to reduce salt in our cooking at home.

I enjoy the challenge of cooking for vegetarians. I even managed Thanksgiving dinner, not just for a vegetarian but for a no-onion guest and a no-garlic guest. Now a vegan, that would have been hard.
