No! Wait. Why? Was Beacon St. really torn up around the reservoir at some point? When I did this ride yesterday, the roads were gorgeous once I got past Coolidge Corner, and even up till then weren't too bad.
More that Chestnut Hill Ave is/was ridiculously torn up, at and one point that was part of my primary crosstown route (read: way to get to work at BBN).
The intersection of Chestnut Hill Ave and Beacon St in general is just horrid, with bad pavement plus spaghetti railroad tracks.
I remember the railroad tracks now that you mention it, and it sure is a big busy intersection, but I don't remember the pavement being that bad. Really, just about all the pavement along Beacon from Brookline all the way through Waban seemed to have been kept up really well.

we gossiped about your kids. Apparently, as time passes, they have gotten older!!!

Good old
It is true. The boys continue to get older, as shocked as we are to admit it.

Sweater, of course. I can't even think back that far these days. :-)
Those darned print magazines...
Or...how many men there really were at Amherst with long red hair!

Sooooo homesick. Seeing those places makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time.
Thank you for those pictures. Seriously.

I look forward to visiting all of these places with you the next chance we get. :-)

Seeing that picture makes me wince. Do you at least have shocks on your bike?
