The Job
So, I seem to have a job.
After my second interview -- which went well but not as well as I'd have liked -- Revahertz hired me on contract for a week to see if we were a good fit for each other. It was kind of nervewracking. The whole time I felt like I was on a week-long examination, and that after too many dumb mistakes they might just say, "Okay, thanks for your time, we'll send you a check." Total sudden death mode.
But no, apparently not -- I proved myself sufficiently non-incompetent that on Friday they made me an offer, and I took it. It was an easy decision to make, having been out of work for the last six months, but the schedule isn't going to be easy to adjust to. I am not going to have any social time during the week, so if youse guys see even less of me than before you will know why. I will be available for lunch dates in Kendall Square, though! :-)
