happiest news of the day

Robitussin is now available in capsule form!

As a child I was susceptible to chronic bronchitis, and once a year or so would develop a cough so severe that it would keep me out of school for a week. The only product that made a dent in the cough at the time was Robitussin cough syrup, and from an early age I learned to associate the taste of the stuff with nausea and sick headaches. I would prefer almost any meds to Robitussin cough syrup.

So being able to get the stuff in liqui-gel capsules is a ray of friggin' sunshine in a dark, dark world.

robitussin, also nyquil, in capsule form

Is this not a joyful thing? I tend to use cough syrup specifically as opposed to the full spectrum stuff like nyquil (already using claritin, aleve, whatever) but they all taste nasty

I actually kind of like the taste of cough syrup. But it does me no good, since over-the-counter cough suppressants do nothing for me. Despite this, I try them every time I get a lingering cough, until I finally break down from lack of sleep and ask my doctor for a hydrocodone prescription. (If there are liqui-gels for those, no one's told me.)

Tastes vary. So do brands' flavoring agents--most of them make /my/ palate try to crawl into my sinuses for protection.

DM in capsules? Did they up the guifanesin or something to make sure you have an unpleasant time if you decide to misuse it?
