so that's what it's all about [meme]

You scored as Hedonism. Your life is guided by the principles of Hedonism: You believe that pleasure is a great, or the greatest, good; and you try to enjoy life’s pleasures as much as you can.

“Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!”

I scored equally between Existentialism and Hedonism.

And I came up as an existentialist. Huh. Hedonism second. I'm actually a little surprised.

I got the same score! Existentialism first, then hedonism, and that was surprising, since I've read very little Sartre and no Camus.

Hmm. I got a clear cut win for existentialism. Neat quiz!

Congratulations ... I think :-). This is the first time I've been intrigued enough by one of these quiz memes to click through.

I scored existentialist (90%), with utilitarian (85%) and hedonist (80%) not far behind. That sounds about right ... though I've always (well, for 20 years or so) had some quibbles with utilitarianism, it is one of my starting places. And existentialism and hedonism I've learned from experience...

I was declared an exitenstialist. Hope it's a Camus kidn of existentialism.

My scores were very close to yours; I had apathy above kantianism and divine command above nihilism but the top 5 were the same.

But what does it mean?

(I was never a student of philosophy.)

Existentialism 100% (yep, expected that), Hedonism 95% (go me!!), Utilitarianism 75% (huh).

Existentialism 75%, Hedonism 65%, Utilitarianism 65%, Justice (Fairness) 25%. (Divine Command and Nihilism were tied at 0%.)

No, scratch that -- I had no idea there were SIX radio buttons on each scale instead of five. (The sixth is on a separate line in each case, fergodsake!)

Existentialism 95%, Hedonism 80%, Utilitarianism 80%, Justice (Fairness) 45%, Apathy 35%, Kantianism 25%, Strong Egoism 15%. Still zero on nihilism and divine command :)
