LIVING ROOM - INT. EVENING

[livejournal.com profile] keyne walks in.

[livejournal.com profile] keyne: Uh.....
[livejournal.com profile] qwrrty: ???

[livejournal.com profile] keyne points at a suspiciously empty plate on the coffee table.

[livejournal.com profile] keyne: Did you put away the rest of the muffins, or did Sappho eat them all?
[livejournal.com profile] qwrrty (STARING): I didn't put them away.
[livejournal.com profile] keyne (PICKING UP PLATE): Well, at least they promote regularity.
[livejournal.com profile] qwrrty: Oh, please God not too much.

Might want to point out that it wasn't so much "the rest of the muffins" as "nearly ALL the muffins" :}

Dude, from what I remember of that dog when she was under her previous ownership, she didn't need any help whatsoever with "regularity." You might want to lay down plastic over all of your floors. And furniture. And staple some to the ceilings and walls.

And y'all might wanna wear raincoats.

Yeah, we're talking about something on the order of a dozen muffins that vanished. Damn scary.

Oh! Sappho is a dog. I thought she was some metaphorical being like "Ida Know" from Family Circle, and you'd eaten them all, absentmindedly, and were just now contemplating what you'd gotten yourself into.

My version is funnier, I think.

BTDT - friend gave us greenie-esque biscuits for the dogs. Left them on counter. Dogs got into them (mostly Romi, though I am sure Emma helped). Had to shampoo green out of carpet later that night after picking up green piles of dog puke up.

Another time I also remember calling whoever makes Pepto Bismol asking them how to get pink dog puke out of a carpet. Why is it that Pepto, which is supposed to settle the stomach always does the reverse for me?
