Went to Not Your Average Joe's for dinner. Morgan, bless his heart, ordered a calamari pizza.

The waitress wasn't sure what to make of this but gamely passed on the request.

I'm so proud of that boy.

There used to be an annual calamari festival in Santa Cruz, though being a vegetarian as you can imagine it was not my thing.

The fact that he is reading reminds me of all the times my gaming friends and I would freak out the wait staff at Pizza Hut by ordering and then all pulling out books and starting to read while waited.

How was the calamari? I'd think it would be very hard to do right on a pizza. If you don't cook it quick or very very long it can so easily become rubber bands.

He gets serious points in my book. I hope he keeps up his adventurous eating habits.

The texture of the calamari definitely suffered, but not so much as to make it inedible.
