I commented on a DW post using their OpenID support, and validated my email address on their site, and received an invite code automatically shortly thereafter. You might try the same.

Yes, but my point was that you don't need an invite code. I just opened an account by paying them five bucks, and I could have done it for three.

I paid for an account -- and got a PayPal receipt and all -- but never got an email from them containing my account setup link. How long did you have to wait?

Five or ten minutes? If you didn't receive info (I don't even remember what the setup process involved) and it's not in your spam folders somewhere, I'd write to their help desk.

And I checked my spam folders and everything. Kinda annoying.
