topazOld Blue, Mr. Moto, the road bike I have been riding since high school and which my father rode for many years before that, is being retired. I love that bike but I have grown very weary of the many small headaches that are involved in maintaining it.
After a visit yesterday to Simple Living Cycles in Framingham, I am now the owner of a new Schwinn 21-speed road bike. Pictures to come. It needs some adjustments to make the fit right but I think it'll work out well.
I think I want to name this bike. Suggestions welcome. "Shadowfax" is tempting for the sleekness and the silver and black color scheme, but it seems sort of cliché. (Given the modest price of this thing, "Bill" would probably be more appropriate if less poetic.)
