They also offered the raspberry syrup. My table-mate blanched at the idea of adding fruit syrup to beer and elected to have with his without. I think he regretted the choice.

Very nice! I read a review somewhere else of someone who added Woodruff syrup to seltzer and said it tasted "like a liquid green marshmallow." In the beer, it just made it a little less tart and balanced it very nicely.
