bike log, 18 Dec 2006
Dec. 18th, 2006 04:03 pmodometer: (as of last Friday) 137.2 miles. It's a new bike computer, and the old one kinda died, so I couldn't pull my odo reading off from it. :-)
Must remember to layer appropriately. If the temperature is above 50 degrees or so, a light sweatshirt and a windbreaker are TOO MUCH! This is hard to believe, but I keep getting to work sweating like a hog.

Date: 2006-12-21 02:22 am (UTC)When you ride to/from Bedford in the dark, do you take the trail or the road? I take the road, 'cause I worry about the trail's skeeviness.

Date: 2006-12-21 03:49 am (UTC)Most of the time I only take the trail between Bedford and Lexington, so I don't have to negotiate the sprawling horror of the 225 / 128 interchange. The rest of the way I just take down Mass Ave. straight through Lexington and Arlington. I do get a little nervous about being alone on the trail in the dark, but I think the real danger is that if I injured myself and knocked myself out or otherwise couldn't move, I wouldn't be discovered till the next day.
Anyway, I'm off the trail entirely until Performance Bike gets around to shipping a replacement headlight battery. Suckage!
