It's all just so swoopy and thrummy, it makes me feel like I'm flying. And their pieces have these crescendos that last, like, fifteen minutes. I mean, I can get most of the way from Lexington to Arlington just while they're setting up to resolve one measure.
I wear headphones. OK, I know, it's terrible and reckless and I shouldn't, but OH MY GOD I get bored on my commute. And since the important thing is that it not distract me from paying attention to what's going on around me, I'm careful not to keep the volume turned up so loud that it interferes with traffic sounds or has me focusing more on the music than on the road. (Which would be hard anyway. I'd have to turn up the volume almost all the way to block out what's going on around me.)
I use the clippy kind of headphones that slip over the top of your ears, and clip them on after putting on the helmet. Can't stand earbuds.
I have a pair of these (http://www.slipstreamz.com/content.asp?subID=8) that I've been meaning to try. All reviews are excellent, but I haven't been on a long ride in EONS...
I wonder how "cool" the air can be for them, since I usually slip on a fleece headband in the winter that pretty much kills the possibility of headphones anyway.
