They're definitely intrigued by the idea, but not sure that they want to sleep all the way at the other end of the house, away from us. However, tonight they're sleeping over at their grandparents' house, so they haven't seen it since this afternoon when it was just barely out of boxes. I expect them to get a lot more excited when they see the finished product. :-)
Do Q and M have different sleeping patterns? I took the top bunk for years, until I realized that if my sister had the top bunk, she would not be able to kick the bunk and keep me awake with her. (She was and is a night owl, living for the hours between 10 pm and about 6 am whereas I tend to operate best from 10 am until 6 pm.)
This is the one we got: http://www.bunkbedking.com/bunk-beds-bookcase-honey
It took me about 5-6 hours (with breaks) to put together by myself, which seems like a lot but I didn't really mind at all. A considerable amount of that was carefully reading the instructions and diagrams to make sure I was doing it right, which is often not clear. But once it's all assembled it seems pretty sturdy. We'll let you know how it holds up after 6 mos or so. :-)

Where'd you find this?
