danger signs
Jan. 24th, 2003 01:13 amI started work on a screenplay about a year ago. It's an idea I've had kicking around for a long time, but I was daunted by the prospect of actually trying to write it down. Eventually I figured out that the best way to discover whether I'm capable of doing this is to try to actually do it. I wrote about thirty single-spaced pages before Quinn was born, and since then haven't put any time into it. So tonight I pulled it out and started pecking again.
That's not the danger sign, though. The danger sign is this.
No more than three new lines got written before I was hacking on the ad-hoc Emacs mode I wrote for editing screenplays.
It's official now. I have learned to procrastinate as a way to avoid procrastinating.
