I don't think I understood a blessed minute of it, but lord was it pretty.

It was fine until the last half hour or so. I think I was following the different layers of the story pretty well. Then a couple of morons in the front row started complaining loudly to each other about how the subtitles were going by too fast, and that prompted them to continue discussing how hot the female lead was, how stupid the king was, etc. etc. (I told them to take it outside a couple of times, but it only slowed them down slightly -- if it hadn't been so close to the end of the movie I probably would have gone to find a manager. I should have gone anyway.)

Anyway, this all happened around the time that Nameless and the king brought their conflict to its climax, so I didn't fully get the story of how either of them came to the conclusions they did. So I guess I was just too distracted at the crucial moments.

I still haven't seen "The Cook, The Thief..." Greenaway does share that color thing with him.
