What kimcob said, but even the most beautiful subject can be spoiled or obscured by a badly composed photo or one with poor exposure, etc.

He seems so open in the picture, no doubt because he's very comfortable with the person taking it. I'm used to seeing him with his face turned slightly away - friendly, engaged even, but self-conscious.
