Two interviews that have come across my desk today from my childhood heroes:

From keyne , Berkeley Breathed, in VICE magazine, still saying things that leave me unable to figure out whether I'm being played or not:

I will say that Opus is really Scout from Mockingbird in many ways. He’s a motherless innocent, adrift and wandering about in an adult world of confusion, betrayal, and incivility. We experience it through both their eyes.

And, from fraterrisus, Bill Watterson's first interview in more than twenty years:

I think some of the reason "Calvin and Hobbes" still finds an audience today is because I chose not to run the wheels off it.

One of my better gifts for my bro was the complete Calvin & Hobbes. It would have been my best gift if I'd figured out a way to give it to him without making him carry it home.

(And yes, following family tradition, I read it before I gave it to him.)

There was nothing in that Watterson interview that he hadn't said 20 years ago. I want to punch the interviewer in the gut for asking such lame questions.
