So four of the movies I quoted didn't get answers.  Maybe I picked better than I thought.  For those of you who want one more chance, go look now before you follow the cut.

1: "You never fuck me! And I always have to drive!" Kelly Preston (Diane) to Matt Dillon (Bob) in Drugstore Cowboy.

4: "No, I didn't say you have character.  I said you are a natural character.  You're an incredible flake." Paul Newman (Eddie) to Tom Cruise (Vincent) in The Color of Money.

5: "That is one nutty hospital."  Bill Murray (Jeff), in Tootsie.

12: "You'd make a great poker player, kid."  Ian Holm (Mitchell) to Sarah Polley (Nicole), in The Sweet Hereafter.

Oh, man, The Sweet Hereafter... what a friggin' awesome movie. Wouldn't have thought of it as all that quotable, but friggin' awesome nonetheless. :)

(I actually haven't seen either Drugstore Cowboy or The Color of Money, so I won't beat myself up too bad for missing those. I'll beat myself up for not having seen them, but not for missing the quotes.)

I think you're right, the script itself isn't very quotable, but Ian Holm puts such punch into his lines that they really stuck with me. That line in particular stayed with me because it made the audience erupt when I saw the movie.

I love love love Drugstore Cowboy and The Color of Money is one of my favoritest movies of all time, so I really think it would be a good idea if you saw them right away. Now. Here, I'll call in sick for you.

Would it make you feel any better at all to know that both of those movies are in my Netflix queue already? Of course, currently Drugstore Cowboy is at 130 and The Color Of Money is at 183... maybe I should bump 'em both up a bit. :)
