I HATE that. Especially since, even though I make
lots of money, I have lots of expenses, and am
working on saving money, so sometimes I have trouble
with my own bills, grocery and otherwise, without
having spent the money on the toys.

Or when someone well-meaning sends a gift, and the recipient bitches them out about how they should have sent money instead, and oh, how about they send a check in addition to the gift?
