I'm married, and I only had sex twice in the last year. It's not a relationship issue, it's a lack of sex drive issue on the partner's part. It makes me sad, but looking for it elsewhere (with partner's consent, obviously) is not what I want. So we work on it. Here's to a new year and fixing what's broken in our lives...

I don't know you from Adam, Eve, or the serpent. I guess that's part of the point of this thread. But I want to say that sometimes a low sex drive is a symptom of depression. (Especially for someone who used to be more interested in sex.) I don't know your partner, so this might not be the situation, but it sometimes happens that a person gradually loses interest in a lot of things that used to be enjoyable...everything seems like too much trouble. Talking to a doctor about a therapist referral can help. Good luck.

One of my housemates gave me a teapot, some tea (a flavor of which I have never had in the house) and honey for the holidays. I make a lot of tea, this is true. I have a clear glass teapot that I love, and an electric kettle for when I want the water fast. Not once have I complained about either of my teapots. And yet, when I opened it, she said, "Now we can get rid of the clear teapot!" As if that's what I always wanted.

I guess I know her real feeling. I like my clear teapot because you can see if it's dirty. I've had way too many metal teapots like the one she bought me rust up on me.

At least I can get out of embarassment. She said, "there's a gift receipt in there." So I can return it and get something I really want, put the clear teapot away in the attic since she really doesn't like it, and then claim that the electric kettle is enough. ARGH.

Oh, and I never use honey. I don't even own a jar of honey. Guess I do now.
